There’s nothing quite like the sound of engines echoing off the grandstands, the sight of sparks flying under the lights, or dirt raining down upon me. I’m Mike Powell, a professional motorsports photographer based in Mid-Michigan, specializing in short-track racing, sponsor storytelling, and team, driver, & track coverage.
Over the years, I’ve built a diverse photography career — from corporate events and real estate to portrait and commercial work — but it’s the track that keeps me coming back. Every race includes the most interesting storylines, and my goal is to capture them in full throttle detail.
