I’m Mike Powell, an award-winning, published Michigan photographer, content creator, and the owner of Biography Photography & Social Media. For more than 20 years, I’ve been creating images across both film and digital mediums, building a style that blends storytelling, atmosphere, emotion, and real moments that actually feel alive.

What started with a camera and a passion for documenting people has grown into work across motorsports, sports, live events, commercial branding, portraits, and digital marketing content throughout Michigan and the Midwest. Today, I regularly work with race tracks, drivers, teams, businesses, nonprofits, venues, and families who need more than just “photos.” They need content that connects with people.

From dirt flying under the lights at a Michigan speedway, to packed charity events, championship celebrations, real estate listings, professional branding sessions, and portraits that feel natural instead of forced, I approach every project with the same goal: create work that people remember.

My background in marketing and social media helps shape the way I shoot.
