This was my third year working with the Flushing Area Chamber of Commerce to provide images from the annual Summerfest in Downtown Flushing, MI. It’s 5 days of fun events & activities from a parade, concerts, youth activities, cornhole tournaments, a carnival, & more. What makes it fun as an event photographer are all of the varying scenes and settings that I’m able to explore from inside at the beer tent to outside, well, everywhere else. There are events going on from midday through dusk, twilight, & night with light sources to play with from the concert stage & neon carnival light which takes careful thought and quick fingers on the dials to get the epic shots I want to deliver.
